From 4 to 5 June 2025, NATRUE took part in Cosmetic Business, the international trade fair for the cosmetics supplying industry, held in Munich (Germany). This year’s edition marked the fair’s 20th anniversary, welcoming 429 exhibitors across three halls and representatives from nearly 30 countries – including China, France, Italy, and Poland. The event served as a dynamic platform for innovation, emerging trends, and expert-led presentations – one of which featured NATRUE.
As an official event partner, NATRUE was pleased to be present in the dedicated partner area. Over the two days, our team welcomed a wide range of visitors to our stand – from raw material suppliers and manufacturers, to certification prospects and professionals eager to learn more about NATRUE’s mission to promote and protect natural and organic cosmetics worldwide.
| Aida Martinez, NATRUE’s Certification Manager, said: “Participating in Cosmetic Business allows us to connect directly with industry actors and stakeholders who value the importance of transparency and high standards in natural cosmetics.” |
This year’s edition put the spotlight on key industry shifts: the increasing relevance of longevity in response to an ageing population and concerns about photoaging; the rise of hyper-personalisation, AI-powered formulations, and microbiome-friendly products; and a strong focus on sustainability and transparency – as consumers continue to demand to know exactly what’s in the products they use.
NATRUE in action
On 4 June, Paula Gómez de Tejada, NATRUE’s Global Communications and PR Manager, joined a panel discussion titled “Trends and Future Prospects of the Natural and Organic Cosmetics Market”. Moderated by Iveta Kovacova (Ecovia Intelligence), the session also featured Frank Hoffmann (OYESS Beauty GmbH) and Lars Börgel (Dreiturm GmbH and DRTJ Organic Cosmetics GmbH). The conversation sparked dialogue around consumer expectations, market evolution, and the vital role of credible certification schemes in an increasingly saturated and fast-paced industry.
Additionally, on 5 June, NATRUE also participated in the Sustainability Tour, which offered visitors insights into innovative sustainable product solutions presented by selected exhibitors. A panel of experts, including Dr Mark Smith, NATRUE’s Director General, evaluated participants based on criteria such as innovation, material savings, and resource efficiency. The tour was moderated by Yulia Khadakouskaya (Leipziger Messe GmbH).
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand – it was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, discover inspiring new projects, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue shaping the future of the cosmetics sector.
