NATRUE

NATRUE travels to Lisbon to deliver a masterclass as part of the Hygieia Master programme, a two-year, English-taught initiative offered by Lusófona University (Lisbon), the University of Belgrade (Serbia), and the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain), in collaboration with key stakeholders from academia, industry, medical societies, and healthcare providers.

The session will be hosted at Lusófona University in Lisbon, where Dr Mark Smith, NATRUE’s Director General, will take the floor to lead a session included in the module “Regulatory Framework of Non-Drug Products”, taking place on 14 October from 9:00 to 12:00.

Dr Smith’s contribution will focus on sustainability and natural and organic claims, with references to REACH, CLP, the European Green Deal, ISO 16128, and other relevant regulatory frameworks worldwide. The masterclass will also feature an interactive component, including a case study designed to strengthen participants’ applied understanding.

This lecture highlights NATRUE’s ongoing commitment to promoting clarity, transparency, and credible standards within the natural and organic cosmetics sector.

The Hygieia Masterclass provides a platform for students, industry professionals, and regulatory experts to deepen their understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding natural and organic cosmetics, and to explore key aspects of sustainability, safety, and product claims in a global context.
