In just a few weeks, the captivating world of natural and organic cosmetics will meet once again at VIVANESS! The international trade fair for natural and organic personal care will take place from 13th to 16th February in Nuremberg (Germany). The show is a great platform to immerse yourself in the latest products and trends, while getting market insights and having countless opportunities for personal exchanges and knowledge transfer.

“In February, we are expecting around 200 international exhibitors at VIVANESS. The diverse range of products on display, as well as the congress and accompanying supporting programme, show just how innovative and inspiring natural and organic cosmetics and personal care can be,” explained Danila Brunner, Executive Director VIVANESS and BIOFACH.

NATRUE takes the stage at VIVANESS
As in previous VIVANESS shows, NATRUE will participate as a speaker in this edition.

  • “Commit for Our Planet: driving environmental sustainability”
    o   13th February, 16:00h (VIVANESS Congress)

On Tuesday, Dr Mark Smith (Director General of NATRUE) will introduce the Commit for Our Planet initiative. This project represents an unprecedented cosmetics industry-wide initiative, with the goal to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint in Europe. It encourages all industry actors in Europe, from SMEs to larger corporations, to take part in a joint industry effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve packaging solutions, and act for nature. In short, Dr Smith will explain how this collective effort can significantly and positively impact the environmental sustainability of cosmetics in Europe.

  • “Certified sustainability in cosmetics: natural solutions for a better future”

On Thursday, Dr Mark Smith, together with Xanthe Galanis-Hancox (Communications Manager of Cosmos Standard) and Nicolas Bertrand (Director of Cosmebio), will emphasise the key role of certification in supporting claims amidst emerging and evolving legislation in Europe. The focus: combatting greenwashing with reliable, verifiable, and credible methods. The collective insights from NATRUE and COSMOS aim to guide, inspire, and motivate the cosmetic industry towards a greener future.

  • Workshop about NATURAL SUNSCREENS – Current and future challenges of using mineral UV filters. How can the industry position itself?

On the same day, Dr Mark Smith, Uli Osterwalder (Sun Protection Facilitator GmbH) and Thibault Moraine (Director of Strategic Projects, Uviva Technologies LLC) will offer a workshop on sun protection as potential for natural cosmetics brands.
