NATRUE will take part in B/Open Digital Edition,  the new Veronafiere initiative dedicated to organic products. Scheduled to take place from 23 to 24 November 2020 on VF Digital Platform, B/Open aims to be the first exclusively B2B event in Italy for Italian and foreign trade professionals of certified organic food and natural self-care.

NATRUE has worked for better regulation for natural and organic cosmetic products since its inception in 2007, actively advocating for an official definition of natural and organic cosmetics, which is very much needed to combat greenwashing and misleading claims in the NOC sector.

In collaboration with NATRUE Approved Certifiers CCPB and EcoGruppo Italia and NATRUE’s Member N&B “Natural is Better”, NATRUE will cover the conference topic “Fragrance allergens: present and future labelling impact for Natural and Organic Cosmetics” at B/Open Digital Edition. Natural fragrances are an integral characteristic of a natural or organic cosmetic product’s identity and authenticity. Existing EU Regulation for cosmetic products establishes a framework for the protection of human health including on-pack labelling requirements for the current 26 fragrance allergens. This presentation will analyse the scientific and regulatory status quo, and lay out the EU Commission policy options should the list be extended by an additional 62 fragrance ingredients. The downstream impacts upon the sector and consumers will be discussed during this presentation.

The virtual conference will take place on November 23 from 14.00 to 15.30. It will be available in English and Italian.

The registration to this event is free of charge. The complete B/Open Digital Edition programme is available here.
