Less than one month left for VIVANESS, the international trade fair for natural and organic personal care! After the special 2022’s Summer edition, the four-days congress will take place from 14th to 17th February in Nürnberg (Germany) and NATRUE will not miss it!

Nüremberg Messe expects 2,700 exhibitors from 100 countries in this 2023’s edition. As a long-time honorary sponsor of VIVANESS, NATRUE will participate as an exhibitor (stand Hall 3C-340) and as a key speaker in conferences and panel discussions, which this year will cover diverse issues focusing on sustainability, trends, and partnership and market developments.

  • “Evolving legislation: In 2023 what’s impacting natural cosmetics and you?”

On Tuesday, Dr. Mark Smith (Director General of NATRUE) will make a comprehensive evaluation of the changing EU and international cosmetics legislation impacting the natural and organic sector. Hot topics include EU policy on green claims substantiation and product environmental footprinting, requirements for fragrance allergens labelling, the cosmetic regulation review, new ingredient and claim regulation, endocrine disrupting chemicals, and microplastics.

On Wednesday, Dr. Mark Smith, Director General of NATRUE, Dr. Bernhard Irrgang (Head of R&D, Weleda AG, and the President of NATRUE) and Mr. Ralf Kunert, Managing Director, naturamus GmbH, will analyse the direct and indirect impacts of current geopolitical factors upon the natural sector, including identifiable risks ranging from raw material supply chain, climate change impacts and rising production costs through to downstream consequences upon consumers and their choices.

  • Cleanwashing: the rise of misleading clean beauty claims, and how certification helps brands and consumers”
    • 15th February, 12:45 – 13:30h (VIVANESS Congress – Hall 3C)

On a last point, Dr. Mark Smith, Director General of NATRUE, together with representatives from COSMOS, will discuss the history and origin of misleading clean beauty claims, as well as the difference between organic and natural. NATRUE-certified and COSMOS-certified brands will share how certification has benefited their business and consumers.
