This broad report isn’t just a snapshot; it’s a testament to NATRUE’s leading role in championing the cause of natural and organic cosmetics, since it highlights how NATRUE continues to be at the forefront of the natural and organic cosmetics sector, advocating for transparency and sustainability in the industry. Specifically, NATRUE’s Annual report showcases NATRUE’s dedication to promoting and protecting natural and organic cosmetics, as well as its tireless efforts to support consumers in making informed choices about the natural cosmetics they use, and helping brands demonstrate the authenticity of their products.
Dr Mark Smith, NATRUE’s Director General, expressed enthusiasm for the Report’s release, stating: “We are proud of the progress we have made as part of our ongoing commitment to support our members, the wider sector, and consumers when it comes to natural and organic cosmetics. This report underscores our commitment to transparency, authenticity, and sustainability in the beauty industry.”
1. Consumers: NATRUE remains committed to engaging and educating consumers about the benefits of certification; specifically, by developing informative resources for outreach and efforts to empower consumers’ informed decision-making.
2. Partnerships: Collective action is fundamental to tackle issues of common concern – whether it is ingredient protection to claims substantiation and industrial best practices. As such, NATRUE continued to join forces across industries to collaborate with stakeholders and initiatives globally that share our fundamental belief in the protection of nature and biodiversity, as well as the preservation of the planet’s precious natural resources.
3. Communication: NATRUE actively participated as a speaker at key cosmetic events sharing its expertise on the sector’s hot topics and the NATRUE standard, as well as exhibiting on the international stage at trade shows all around the world.
4. Advocacy: NATRUE actively participates in and contributes to relevant regulatory decision-making bodies at European and international levels to emphasise the interests of natural and organic cosmetic producers and needs of consumers. This work ranges from protecting a wide palette of natural and organic raw materials through to environmental claims substantiation and regulatory revision at EU level.
