NATRUE is delighted to announce its participation in the 3rd Natural Cosmetics International Meeting, which will take place from 17th to 19th September 2025 at the Center for International Education in Kielnarowa/Rzeszów, Poland.
This international conference has become a key platform for connecting scientists, students, and industry representatives to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore the most recent innovations in the field of natural cosmetics.
This year, NATRUE will contribute to the discussion with a plenary lecture by Dr Mark Smith, Director General of NATRUE. On 19th September at 9:30h, Dr Smith will deliver a plenary lecture titled: “Environmental Claims and Sustainability Labels: Substantiation and Certification.” His talk will address the need for greater clarity in the green transition, where control authorities, investors, and consumers all play a role in ensuring that misleading practices such as greenwashing are reduced and that decision-making is based on reliable information.
Drawing on examples from both inside and outside the EU, the presentation will show how harmonised criteria and third-party certification are being used worldwide to substantiate sustainability-related claims, enhance circularity, support cosmetic product claims, and empower consumers.
