We are excited to announce that NATRUE will be participating in the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit Europe 2024, taking place from 23rd-25th October 2024 at the Crowne Plaza in Paris, France. Celebrating its 16th European edition, this highly anticipated event brings together key stakeholders in the cosmetics industry to address and debate pressing sustainability issues in a high-level forum.
For the first time, the summit will delve into critical topics such as sustainability schemes, green materials, and the emerging concept of blue beauty. Across the three-day event, each day will focus on two key themes: Industry Developments and Green Materials on 23rd October, followed by Blue Beauty Potential and Sustainability Schemes on 24th October. The final day, 25th October, will be dedicated to a specialised workshop on Sustainability in Packaging.
NATRUE at the event
We are also proud to share that NATRUE will have a prominent role at the event. On 24th October at 15:35h, Dr. Mark Smith, NATRUE’s Director General, will deliver a conference presentation alongside Xanthe Galanis-Hancox, Communications Manager at Cosmos. During this session, titled “Natural & Organic Cosmetics Market Update”, they will unveil key market data, offering a deep dive into the latest trends shaping the natural and organic cosmetics industry. Attendees can look forward to exclusive insights into consumer demand and emergind market dynamics.
Earlier that day, from 10:45 to 12:30, Dr. Mark Smith will serve as the moderator for a discussion titled “Reviving Marine Ecosystems.” In this role, he will guide an in-depth exploration of sustainability topics and the potential of blue beauty, ensuring a through and engaging dialogue.
Later, at 17:00h, Dr. Smith will participate as a panellist in a discussion titled “Future Direction of Sustainability Schemes & Labels.” Joined by industry leaders such as Karen Spinner, Sales and Marketing Manager at The Vegan Society; Hedy Scheck, Chief Marketing Officer at MyMicrobiome; Jade Hoai, Executive Leader of Purchasing at Whole Foods Market; and Pauline Raffaitin, Home & Personal Care Business Unit Manager at Ecocert Group, the panel promises an engaging and insightful debate on the evolving landscape of sustainability certifications and labelling in the cosmetics industry.
